Challenge
After rebranding from Kudi, nomba needed to shift market perception from “POS provider” to a true business enablement partner.
The brand needed a story that captured this shift and positioned nomba as the smarter, more reliable way to run a business.
Method
A quick insight from the consumer tension revealed: Business owners were overwhelmed from juggling operations, chasing payments, handling inventory, dealing with staff… trying to be everywhere at once.
We grounded the campaign in a simple, universal tension: the myth of doing everything yourself.
Through strategy, storytelling, and a hero film, we showed the daily pressure on entrepreneurs and reframed nomba as the partner that gives them the freedom to operate better.
We built the narrative, crafted the visual language, and shaped the sentiment around one clear promise: nomba helps businesses run smoother, faster, smarter.
Metaphors
The idea was anchored in a single, relatable question:
“How do you get better at business?”
Is it by being in a hundred places… or by trusting the right partner?
We visualised the typical Nigerian business owner multiplying themselves: serving customers, taking inventory, doing accounting, fixing issues… all at the same time.
This metaphor of “being everywhere at once” became the creative engine that contrasted madness with mastery, and positioned nomba as the calming force in the chaos of running day to day business without figuring out how to optimise payments.
Impact
The campaign helped reposition nomba as a broader business solution, not just a payments tool.
It gave the rebrand a meaningful story, strengthened trust among SMEs, and became one of the defining early expressions of nomba’s new identity.
